MER and nCAC.

What does that mean?! How does that help my business???

It's a bit boring but how you will scale your pet brand.


MER - Marketing Efficiency Ratio. Or your Total Sales / Total Ad Spend. $100k in sales with $25k in Ad Spend is an MER of 4.

If you know your business makes 20% profit margin at 4x MER after all expesnes then you can plan your media spend to go up as long as you are above your target MER. This assumes you need a 20% profit margin. Your desired MER is up to you.


nCAC - New Customer Acquisition Cost. Ad Spend / New Customers. How much profit do you need to make per new customer after all expenses? Establish this so you can spend more on media if you are below your target nCAC. Your desired nCAC is up to you.
