Here’s some quick bullets to help you crush TikTok for 2022.

Native content is performing really well against our higher production stuff for our DogConnectors clients.

I’m starting to see brands hire TikTok creators on retainer ($2k-8k/month) to produce 5-30 posts/month on their TikTok. Only takes a few posts to go viral for it to win big for your brand. Then repurpose those winners for paid media.

TikTok influencers are super undervalued and you can get some great deals building a real relationship with them over DM.

  • native to something you’d see on an IG story
  • first person (this is important)
  • funny pic of dog

Offer is everything. Most founders i talk to are big product people. They spend months, even years, creating an incredible product and by nature, want to talk about all the features they brought to life.

Instead, try focusing on the transformation. Your website should talk about the problems your product solves for pet parents. For example, instead of listing off the 6 amazing features your dog toy has, tell your potential buyers about why purchasing your dog toy will fix your dogs boredom, chewing on furniture, etc.. aka the problems they had before they purchased your dog toy.

You can raise your conversion rate from 1% to 2% with copy - which would double your customers without spending a dime. All by tweaking your messaging using the (problem), then, (solution) framework. This can be invaluable for bootstrapped businesses and can be a huge difference between succeeding profitably or not.
